Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification


Who does Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certify? 

  • Companies that are 51% or more women-owned, operated and controlled by a U.S. citizen(s).

What are    the benefits to becoming certified? 

  • Get noticed by thousands of major U.S. corporations and several public agencies.
  • Gain exposure by attending WBENC’s national business conference.

How much does it cost to become certified? 

  • $350 for annual revenue of up to $999K.
  • $500 for annual revenue of $1 million up to $4.9 million.
  • $750 for annual revenue of $5 million up to $9.9 million.
  • $1,000 for annual revenue of $10 million and above.

 

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification


Who does Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) certify? 

  • Companies that are 51% or more ethnic-minority-owned, operated and controlled by a U.S. citizen(s).

What are the benefits to becoming certified? 

  • Receive nationally-recognized minority business certification.
  • Gain direct access to procurement executives & buyers.
  • Receive invitations to private networking events & seminars.
  • Gain access to business development resources.
  • Gain exposure to business contract opportunities through MSDC’s web page.
  • Get noticed by corporations that regularly utilize MSDC databases and website to look for certified minority vendors.

How much does it cost to become certified? 

  • $350 Initial certification processing fee for new members.
  • $150 Initial certification processing fee for returning members.
  • $150 Annual recertification and profile update fee for all members.

 

Central Contractor Registration (CCR)


Who should register? 

  • Companies (sole proprietors, corporations, partnerships and governmental organizations) desiring to do business with the federal government. What are the benefits to registering?
  • Gain ability to bid on federal government contracts.
  • Creation of CCR profile which supplies information about your business to other businesses and federal agencies.

How much does it cost to register? 

  • CCR is a federally mandated and funded program; therefore, there is no cost to register. Supplier Clearinghouse Certification Who does The Supplier Clearinghouse certify?
  • Companies that are 51% or more women-owned and/or ethnic-minority-owned, operated and controlled by a U.S. citizen(s).

What are the benefits to becoming certified?

  • Promotion and visibility to the CPUC and sixteen major utilities.
  • Involvement in frequent marketing and bid announcement events.
  • Faster contracting processes.

How much does it cost to become certified?

  • Free.

 

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification 


Who does Department of Transportation (DOT) certify? 

  • Companies that are 51% or more owned, operated, and controlled by socially or economically disadvantaged U.S. citizen(s).

What are the benefits to becoming certified? 

  • Inclusion in statewide California Unified Certification Program (CUCP) database. · Receive preference over businesses that are not DBE-certified bidders when bidding for participating City and County contracts and projects.

How much does it cost to become certified? 

  • Free.

 

Section 3 Certification 


Who does the Fresno Housing Authorities certify? 

  • Section 3 Business Concerns desiring to do business with the Fresno Housing Authorities.
  • A Section 3 Business Concern must meet one of these requirements:
  1. a) is a business that is 51% or more owned by Section 3 residents,
  2. b) is a business that employs Section 3 residents for at least 30% of its full time permanent staff, or
  3. c) is a business that provides evidence of a commitment to subcontract with Section 3 Business Concerns, 25% or more of the dollar amount of the awarded contract.

What are the benefits to becoming certified? 

  • Receive preference over businesses that are not Section 3-certified bidders when bidding for Fresno Housing Authorities contracts and projects.
