June 25th, 2019, The sixth meeting of the first Hmong Cohort was held at Valley Small Business Development Corp. With three guest speakers who were Erica Cabrera from Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Bryn Forhan from The Forhan Company who also represents Chevron, and Kee Xiong from Pacific Western Bank spoke about the process of applying for a grant. When applying for grants, applicants should do the following: networking and getting to know the grantor or organization giving the grant, tailoring your program to meet the grantor’s need and to follow up with the grantor or organization to get feedback regardless of getting the grant.
