On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, Asian Business Institute & Resource Center (ABIRC) held an open house to introduce their future works to the community. Attendees range from elders of the South-East Asian community, city elective officials, and organization partners (Lao Veterans of America Inc., Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Fresno Unified School District, Hmong Innovating Politics, United States Department of Agriculture, Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce, A Hopeful Encounter, Small Business Association, Special Guerilla Unit Inc., and Food Commons Fresno. ABIRC has received multiple grants to continue their mission of supporting, connecting, and growing small Asian businesses as well as local small family farms. Led by former City Council Member of Fresno City, Blong Xiong, who is now the Executive Director of ABIRC is dedicated to serving the community for the greater good.
